Presiden Joko Widodo tengah menelepon untuk memastikan kebutuhan alat berat saat melihat langsung proses evakuasi korban meninggal dunia di Hotel Roa Roa, Palu, Sulawesi Tengah, Rabu (3/10/2018). Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) mengatakan jumlah korban meninggal hingga 3 Oktober 2018 pukul 13.00 WIB akibat gempa dan tsunami di Sulawesi Tengah sudah mencapai 1.407.
