Wates Village residents preserve the history of Rumah Gotong Hari or Wakare in the form of moving houses on stilts in 1943 during the Japanese occupation of Jatisura Village, Majalengka Regency, West Java, Friday (08/16/2019). The villagers agreed to move the house on stilts to avoid danger because of its location near the Japanese air base but upon returning to its original location, the land was claimed to be owned by the Indonesian Air Force. -JP / Arya Dipa / Adi / 19

Warga Kampung Wates melestarikan sejarah Hari Gotong Rumah atau Wakare berupa pemindahan rumah-rumah panggung pada tahun 1943 saat penjajahan Jepang di Desa Jatisura, Kabupaten Majalengka, Jawa Barat, Jumat (16/8/2019). Warga kampung sepakat memindahkan rumah panggung agar terhindar dari bahaya karena lokasinya yang dekat pangkakan udara Jepang namun saat kembali ke lokasi awal, tanahnya hingga saat ini diklaim milik TNI Angkatan Udara. -JP/Arya Dipa/Adi/19
