A relative of a vehicle owner who was submerged by flooding in the basement parking lot of the Thamrin Nine Plaza UOB building, Jakarta is looking at the condition of the vehicle that was successfully evacuated from the parking area. The Indonesian General Insurance Association (AAUI) predicts that total claims from post-flood general insurance insurers are estimated at Rp 3 trillion. This means that there is a 50% increase compared to claims in 2007 which only amounted to Rp 2.1 trillion. While for motor vehicles it is estimated to reach Rp 50 billion. The estimated increase is based on the increase in flooded areas in elite residential areas and business centers due to the collapse of the Latuharhary, Pluit, and Jati Asih dams. -JP / R. DESCRIPTION (ID)
-JP/R.
