Akses jalan kembali normal. Akses jalan ke Port Site Amapapare Timika kembali di buka setelah diblokir sejak 24 November 2014 lalu dengan menebang pohon-pohon dan dilintangkan di jalan sehingga kendaraan tidak bisa keluar masuk pelabuhan. Pemblokiran ini dilakukan sebagai protes terhadap kesepakatan New Era antara manajemen PT Freeport dan Serikat Pekerja. Karyawan menilai kesepakatan tersebut telah melanggar aturan PKB dan PHI. Sementara warga yang terlibat dalam pemblokiran jalan adalah warga yang berasal dari Kampung Karaka yang berhadapan dengan Port Site. Warga menuntut kampung mereka juga dialiri listrik karena selama ini hanya menonoton terangnya malam hari di Port Site sementara mereka menikmati kegelapan, - JP/Nethy Dharma Somba/Adi/19
