Seorang petugas tengah mengawasi conveyor belt yang mengangkut 7.500 megaton batu bara dari Bontang, Kalimantan Timur, untuk kebutuhan bahan bakar Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) Tanjung Awar-awar, berkapasitas 2x350 megawatt (MW) di Kabupaten Tuban, Jawa Timur, Selasa (25/10). Tiap jam PLTU Tanjung Awar-awar membutuhkan 160 ton batu bara kualitas bagus untuk menghasilkan 700 MW listrik. Dengan dioperasikannya dua pembangkit di PLTU Tanjung Awar-awar menggunakan teknologi dari Cina, semakin menambah ketersediaan pasokan energi listrik di Jawa Timur, yang saat beban puncak kebutuhannya mencapai 5.620 MW. - JP/Wahyoe Boediwardhana/Adi/19
