Two Sidoarjo Mud Handling Agency (BPLS) officers, were crossing a mud lake to operate a vacuum suction machine, which functions to extract hot liquid mud from a holding pond to be channeled to the Porong River, in the Porong District, Sidoarjo Regency, Tuesday (25 / 8). The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing is targeting that in 2016 it will examine the current condition of the underground subsurface of the Lapindo mudflow center, and try out several methods of stopping the mudflow that have not yet been carried out, as the completion of compensation payments for mudflow victims.-JP / Wahyoe Boediwardhana / Adi / 19

Dua orang petugas Badan Penanggulangan Lumpur Sidoarjo (BPLS), tengah menyebrangi danau lumpur untuk mengoperasikan alat berat penyedot lumpur, yang berfungsi melakukan penyedotan lumpur cair panas dari kolam penampungan untuk kemudian dialirkan ke Sungai Porong, di Kecamatan Porong, Kabupaten Sidoarjo, Selasa (25/8). Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat menargetkan tahun 2016 mendatang akan meneliti kondisi terkini bawah permukaan tanah pusat semburan lumpur Lapindo, serta mengujicoba beberapa metode penghentian semburan lumpur yang masih belum dilakukan, seiring selesainya pembayaran ganti rugi masyarakat korban lumpur.-JP/Wahyoe Boediwardhana/Adi/19
